Well, I should have seen this coming. My Venus fly trap died ): This is actually pretty common because Venus flytraps are one of the hardest plants to grow ever. Most gardeners say that this is the only plant that they are having trouble with keeping alive. So yeah. I have to say that the Venus flytrap was the most exciting plant to grow because unlike other plants it actually moves and does something and is fun not just in beauty but its like a plant monster. Well R.I.P Fly trap.

The youngest trap is alive and I hope he makes it. Though I hope new traps will also come! Anyway if you notice the picture above you will see that its also turning pink! Here's the close up:
I don't know why. I hope its a sign that new traps will come!

A lot has happened with my venus fly trap. Many traps have died and I fed the small venus fly trap. But today I RE-POTTED the venus fly trap. This is how it looks now:
Much better than before. And when I was repotting it I saw that the roots were TIED together with a NET!
I think thats why it wasnt growing properly. Anyway, heres the picture of the old soil:
This is how I made the new soil:
You need perlite, Silica sand and coconut coir:
Then you mix them all and you have your venus fly trap soil. After putting it into its new soil, I sprinkled some water on it. (drinking water) I think its going to grow much better now!

Hey guys! So I was just sitting in my room, really bored then I thought "Why don't I feed the baby venus flytrap?" Then I thought that what would be small enough to fit in it. Then I got the greatest idea. I thought that I should feed it a teeny tiny ant. If you're wondering whats a teeny tiny ant, heres the picture:
Its the thing in the red circle. Its very common.
And now the baby venus flytrap is closed! Oh and by the way i did not kill the teeny tiny ant before making the trap eat it, I made sure that the teeny tiny ant was alive. I never feed my venus flytrap with dead insects. Anyway heres the picture of the closed baby trap:
And I also cut off the black traps off of the venus flytrap. Heres how it look now:
Looks pretty neat.

So I just noticed another kind of black trap. Its not SO black, only one of the outer hair is black. And theres some sort of reddish thing on it. Take a look, its the one in the circle:
do you see that pinkish or reddish stuff growing on it? Anyway the rest of the traps are growing perfectly. Another trap opened up today! Take a look:
It was so tempting to put an ant inside it and see it eat the ant but I resisted. I know that I had already fed it a lot and if I fed it again I would be making a big mistake. In the last post I told you that I had over fed my venus fly trap. Well now I wont feed it till next month.

I've got some good news and bad news. The good news is that my venus flytrap is growing a new trap! Yep its really tiny but it grows just a little bigger everyday(atleast it seems like its getting bigger everyday) Take a look at the new trap:
Yep that tiny one in the middle. This picture is a close up, the trap looks bigger than it actually is in this pic. But anyway the bad news is that 3 of the traps on the venus flytrap are turning black. Yes 3 of them! Here are the pictures:
I think I know why. I think I have been over feeding them. I usually check everyday that if a trap is open or not. If the trap is open I feed it ants and the mistake I made was that I kept on giving ants to the traps as soon as they opened again. I read somewhere on the internet that they only need 3 bugs a month. I was pretty shocked when I read that because I feed it so much. Well atleast now I wont make the same mistake with the rest of the traps.
